5.2.37. Sensor of a detonation (Simtec system)
Removal
Sensor of a detonation of system of injection of Simtec fuel
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
2. Disconnect electric sockets from the sensor of temperature of the air coming to the engine and the measuring instrument of a stream of warm air. |
3. Remove hoses of ventilation of a case. |
4. Remove hoses of supply of cooling liquid from the branch pipe coming to the engine of air, the tape measuring instrument of mass of a stream of warm air together with an air branch pipe from the top part of the air filter and the case of a throttle. |
5. Using a screw-driver edge, release brackets of fastening of nozzles of the first and fourth cylinders in strips of the socket and at the same time lift strips. From a reverse side of strips there are six connections, four of which are intended for fuel nozzles. |
6. Disconnect electric wires of the sensor of a detonation from a socket strip. |
7. Tie a piece of a wire 1 m long to the electric socket of the sensor of a detonation. |
8. Remove the detonation sensor from the block of cylinders of the engine (see the drawing). |
9. Untie an additional wire from the electric socket of the sensor of a detonation. |

Installation
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments...
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the sensor of a detonation and the block of cylinders of the engine. For fastening of the sensor of a detonation use only standard bolts and washers. |
2. Being careful, install the detonation sensor on the block of cylinders and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment. |
3. Arrange a detonation sensor electrical wiring between ledges on an inlet collector. Untie an additional wire from the electric socket. |
4. Insert the electric socket of the sensor of a detonation into a strip of sockets. |
5. Arrange spring brackets of nozzles so that they did not interfere with gearing of strips of sockets. Check that between a strip of sockets and a nozzle there was a reliable contact. |
6. Record strips of connecting sockets before the heard click. |
7. Check a condition of hoses and reliability of fastening by their collars. |
