5.2.31.2. DOHC engines

Removal

Arrangement of an arm of support of a fuel hose on the left side of the throttle case on the DOHC models

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Weaken a collar, the fixing main air branch pipe to the left side of the measuring instrument of a stream of air.
3. Unscrew four bolts fixing the heater block to the throttle case. Separate the heater block from the throttle case, then remove a hose from the lower part of the block and take the heater block from a motor compartment.
4. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
5. Unscrew a nut and remove an arm of support of a fuel hose on the left side of the throttle case (see the drawing).
6. Remove an accelerator cable from the lever of a butterfly valve.
7. Disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case from the throttle case.
8. Disconnect a vacuum pipe from the top part of the regulator of pressure of fuel.
9. Check that all hoses, pipes and electric sockets are disconnected from the throttle case.
10. Unscrew four nuts and remove the throttle case from an inlet collector. Remove laying of the case of a throttle.
11. If necessary remove the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve from the throttle case.
12. Do not try to regulate draft of a butterfly valve independently. If draft of a butterfly valve is faulty, make repair in the specialized workshop Opel.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. If acted, install the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
3. Install the throttle case with new laying.
4. Check correctness and reliability of connection of hoses, pipes and electric sockets.
5. If necessary, adjust an accelerator cable.
