6.11. Driving belt of the generator
MAPLE NOT RIDGE BELT
Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Disconnect an air branch pipe and the air filter and an air chamber or the case of a throttle and remove it. |
| 2. The correct tension of a belt provides its long operation. Do not draw a driving belt of the generator as in this case generator bearings can fail. |
| 3. Periodically check a condition of a belt of the generator. If the belt is worn-out, torn or tousled, it needs to be replaced. It is recommended to have a spare driving belt of the generator in the car. |
| 4. On models with the amplifier of steering the driving belt of the generator also puts the pump of the amplifier of steering in action. |
| 5. For removal of a driving belt of the generator on l models 1,8 and 2,0 first of all take off a driving belt of the pump of the amplifier of steering. |
| 6. Weaken bolts and nuts of fastening of the generator so that the generator could be moved to the engine. |
| 7. Take off a driving belt of the generator from pulleys. |

Installation

| 1. Using a belt of the required standard size, establish it around pulleys. Adjust a tension of a driving belt of the generator, moving the generator from the engine, and tighten bolts of fastening of the generator. |

Adjustment

| 1. For check of a tension of a driving belt of the generator it is necessary to use special devices, however manually it is possible to define a generator tension approximately. For this purpose, using moderate effort of a hand, press in the middle of the longest branch of a belt of the generator and check that the deflection of a belt makes about 13 mm. |
| 2. Weaken bolts and nuts of fastening of the generator and, using wooden whetstone, take away the generator from the engine before achievement of the required tension of a belt of the generator and tighten nuts and bolts. |
| 3. In the presence establish and adjust a tension of a driving belt of the pump of the amplifier of steering. |
| 4. Establish an air branch pipe. |
| 5. At installation of a new belt in process extra earnings it will stretch therefore it is necessary to check and to repeatedly adjust a belt tension through 400 km of a run. |

RIDGE MAPLE BELT
On later models with the amplifier of steering the belt with the automatic machine the chesky mechanism of a tension is established ridge maple. After installation adjustment of a tension of a belt is not required.
Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove the air filter and air a zabornik. |
| 2. If the belt is repeatedly established, chalk note the direction of rotation of a belt. |
| 3. Using a wrench, turn a roller of the automatic mechanism of a tension clockwise if to look on the right side of the car, and record it in this situation. After reduction of a tension of a driving belt remove it from pulleys and return the tension mechanism to a starting position. |
| 4. Support by a jack through wooden whetstone the engine. |
| 5. Under the car unscrew the right support of fastening of the power unit from a body. |
| 6. Lower a jack so that it was possible to take a driving belt between an arm and a body. |

Installation
The correct arrangement of a ridge maple belt on the engine
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Pass a new belt between an arm and a body and lift the engine in a starting position. |
| 2. Using a tap of the corresponding size, clear a carving for bolts of fastening of a support of the power unit. Apply on a carving of bolts of fastening of a support of the power unit a thin layer of structure, to a prepyatstvo yushchy to unscrewing of bolts, then screw in bolts and tighten them the required moment. |
| 3. Using a wrench, turn a tension mechanism roller counterclockwise and establish a driving belt on pulleys (see the drawing). Correctly place a belt on pulleys and release a tension mechanism roller. |
| 4. Install the air filter and an air inlet. |
