9.29. Cable of the emergency brake
Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The cable of the emergency brake consists of two parts of different length. The long cable connects draft via the regulator to the emergency brake of the right wheel. The short cable connects the regulator to the emergency brake of the left wheel. Replacement of cables can be made independently from each other. |
| 2. In the presence take off caps of back wheels and weaken bolts of fastening of wheels. Lift a back part of the car and record on supports. Remove back wheels. |
| 3. Note an arrangement of cables for the correct repeated installation them on the places. |
| 4. Remove the corresponding brake drum. |

| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Measure length of the carving plug of a cable of the emergency brake acting from the regulator on a beam of a back axis, then screw together a regulator nut from the carving plug. |
| 2. Disconnect a cable of the emergency brake from draft of the lever of the emergency brake on the car bottom (see the drawing). |
| 3. Take a cable of the emergency brake from guides on the car bottom. |
| 4. Disconnect a cable of the emergency brake from the regulator on a back beam of the car. |
| 5. Disconnect the end of a cable of the emergency brake from a control lever on a brake shoe, then, using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove a plate, the fixing cover of a cable of the emergency brake to a brake board. |
| Remove a cable of the emergency brake, having released it from a guide on a back beam. |

Installation
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments...

| 1. Screw a regulator nut on the carving plug on the same distance, as before removal. |
| 2. Check correctness of an arrangement of a cable of the emergency brake. |
| 3. Install the brake drum. |
| 4. Adjust the emergency brake, then establish wheels and lower the car on the earth. |

SHORT CABLE

| 1. Measure length of the carving plug of a cable of the emergency brake acting from the regulator on a beam of a back axis, then screw together a regulator nut from the carving plug. |
