5.3.13. The oxygen sensor (models with the catalyst)
Prevention
The second name of the sensor of oxygen is a Lambda sensor.
Removal
Oxygen sensor arrangement in a reception exhaust pipe on models with the DOHC engine
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
| 2. Disconnect the electric socket of the sensor of oxygen which is located behind a broad tank. |
| 3. Tighten the emergency brake, then lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. |
| 4. On models with DOHC engines remove an engine mudguard. |
| 5. On models with system of injection of Multec fuel, the sensor of oxygen is screwed in in a final collector. Release electrical wire ку the oxygen sensor from fastening brackets. |
| 6. On other models disconnect the oxygen sensor from a reception exhaust pipe (see the drawing). At a vyvinchivaniye of the sensor of oxygen it is necessary to use gloves as the exhaust system can be very hot. |
| 7. Being careful, unscrew the oxygen sensor from a reception exhaust pipe. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. If the new sensor of oxygen is installed, the carving of the sensor is covered with antiprigarny material. |
| 2. If the sensor of oxygen is installed repeatedly, apply a thin film of the antiprigarny material Opel No. 90295397 on a sensor carving. |
| 3. You make further installation in the sequence, the return to removal. |
