4.10. Thermostat

Prevention

At installation of the thermostat it is necessary to use a new sealing ring.

MODELS 1,4 AND 1,6 L, EXCEPT NZ2 C16

Removal

Removal of a casing of the thermostat

Extraction of the thermostat on models of 1,6 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Partially merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
2. Take off a gear belt and a pulley of the camshaft.
3. Unscrew two top bolts fixing a back casing of a gear belt to a head of the block of cylinders and the lower right bolt, the fixing casing to the block of cylinders.
4. Remove a hose from a thermostat casing.
5. Move a back casing of a gear belt from a head of the block of cylinders for access to two bolts of fastening of a casing of the thermostat.
6. Unscrew two bolts of fastening of a casing of the thermostat and remove a casing (see rice. Removal of a casing of the thermostat).
7. Take the thermostat from a head of the block of cylinders, at the same time cooling liquid can follow from the lower branch pipe of a radiator (see rice. Extraction of the thermostat on models of 1,6 l).
8. Remove a sealing ring from the thermostat.
9. If necessary check operability of the thermostat.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. Establish a pulley of the camshaft and a gear belt, then otregul to a ruyta a tension of a gear belt.
3. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.

Removal

Removal of a cover of the thermostat together with the thermostat

Removal of a sealing ring from the thermostat on models of 2,0 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In the presence remove an engine mudguard. Partially merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.
2. Disconnect the top hose of a radiator from a thermostat cover.
3. Unscrew three bolts and uncover the thermostat together with the thermostat. Remove a sealing ring from the thermostat (see rice. Removal of a cover of the thermostat together with the thermostat, Removal of a sealing ring from the thermostat on models of 2,0 l).
4. If necessary check работос a thermostat posobnost.
5. In need of replacement of the thermostat it you make replacement together with a cover.

Installation

1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. At installation of the thermostat use a new sealing ring. In conclusion add I cool Shuya liquid in the cooling system.
