2.3.2.21. Check of a driving maple belt of the generator

Prevention

The tension of the new ridge driving maple belt established on later models is not regulated.

At a normal tension of a belt the belt deflection when pressing by a thumb on the longest branch of a belt has to make 13 mm.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken bolts and nuts of fastening of the generator, then, moving the generator from the engine, adjust a tension of an auxiliary driving belt then tighten bolts and nuts. Do not draw a belt as it can lead to failure of bearings of the generator.
