2.3.2.10. Check and adjustment of the maximum turns of the engine
Prevention
The screw of adjustment of the maximum turns of the engine is closed by a cap which needs to be removed before adjustment. After adjustment it is necessary to close hermetically the screw, and it is desirable to perform this work at Opel service station.
Check
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Clear an end face of a pulley of a bent shaft and paste on it a square from aluminum howl a foil (see rice. Measurement of turns of the engine). Using an optical tachometer, measure engine turns. |
| 2. Warm up the engine up to the working temperature and check idling turns. |
| 3. Smoothly increasing engine turns, measure the maximum turns. Do not increase engine turns higher than 5200 rpm even if they can be exceeded in connection with inexact adjustment. |

Adjustment
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove a cap from the adjusting screw, weaken a lock-nut and rotating the screw establish the required maximum turns of the engine. |
| 2. Establish a cap into place. |
