1.27. System of the CU (Traction Control)
The system of the CU (Traction Control System), system of automatic control and the prevention of a skid and skidding, warns, irrespective of a condition of a paving and coupling of tires with the road, skidding of driving wheels.
This system watches the frequency of rotation of all wheels and reduces the engine capacity as soon as one of driving wheels begins to revolve. If necessary, the revolving driving wheel is braked. Thanks to it, in particular in the presence of snow cover and ice, and also on a wet or slippery roadbed, stability of the car at the movement increases and efficiency of transfer of the bringing effort of a road surface.
Process of regulation by means of system of the CU is induced by a signaling device blinking. During process of regulation engine capacity decreases (the sound of operation of the engine changes).
The system of the CU is made active as soon as ignition joins.
• At the included ignition the signaling device burns.
• It will go out in several seconds after the system carries out self-checking.
• The system of the CU is made active now and can at any speed of the movement in a combination with the anti-blocking device of the ABS brake system carry out the task.
The system is not efficient if:
• after inclusion of ignition the signaling device does not light up;
• after inclusion of ignition the signaling device will not go out;
• the signaling device constantly burns during the movement;
• in the anti-blocking device to the ABS brake system there is a malfunction.
In case of malfunction, perhaps, continuation of the movement. Stability of the car at the movement can, depending on acceleration and a condition of a road surface, owing to skidding of driving wheels to go down.
Shutdown of system of the CU
In special situations when skidding of driving wheels is required, for example
• movement on deep snow or
• "rocking" in deep snow, happens expedient to disconnect system of the CU by means of a key of the CU:
Shutdown is displayed by burning of a signaling device of the CU.
• By repeated pressing a key of the CU or at each inclusion of ignition the system joins again.
